Fluke (UK) has introduced a test drive programme for the innovative 190 series high speed potable 'scope.
The kit also includes Fluke's unique Toolpack accessory for hanging the meter almost anywhere, a protective carry case and a Maglite flashlight.
The Fluke 179-KIT is available from Fluke distributors until 31st August 2002.
The contents include a Fluke 179 DMM in a C90 soft carrying case; Fluke ToolPack strap and magnet hangers for maximum versatility, freeing the user's hands to hold both test leads for safe and effective operation; and a water and shock resistant Mini Maglite (AA).
The Fluke 179 DMM has an ergonomically tapered-case design, that incorporates an integrated protective holster, and comes with a lifetime warranty and the latest category IV safety ratings.
It is designed specifically for demanding front-line industrial, electrical and electronic technicians and engineers for use up to 1000V and 10A AC or DC.
The 179 features an exclusive Fluke-designed true-RMS engine and boasts 0.09% accuracy with 6000 counts of resolution on a bright, backlit display.
In addition, the meter offers min/max/avg recording, autohold, and display hold for enhanced troubleshooting.
While operating in the min/max/avg mode, the meter emits an audible tone to signal a new minimum or maximum reading has been sensed and stored.
The 179 offers impressive speed, as the display powers-up and presents measurement readings twice as fast as other multimeters.
The frequency, capacitance and resistance ranges are up to 100kHz, 10kF and 50Mohm and it also provides direct temperature readouts in C or F when used with the thermocouple probe provided.
The innovative battery access door allows the user to change the batteries without opening the complete case and breaking the calibration seal. Request a free brochure from Fluke (UK) ...
