Test drive a portable ScopeMeter
Fluke (UK) has introduced a test drive programme for the innovative 190 series high speed potable 'scope.
The Fluke 1550 MegOhmMeter is designed for testing switchgear, transformers, motors, generators and cables.
It can be used for a wide range of tests from simple spot checks to timed and breakdown tests.
Its 99 memory locations store all measurement parameters, which can then be downloaded to a Windows-based computer using the Quicklink 1550 software and optical interface cable that come with the meter.
The Fluke 1550 comes as a complete kit and has the features expected of higher-end testers, including a ramp function (0-5000V DC) for breakdown testing, a timer for dielectric absorption, plus the ability to conduct leakage current and cable or insulation capacitance tests.
Easy to use with a simple interface, the meter provides insulation resistance testing up to 1Tohm, with four output voltages: 500, 1000, 2500 and 5000V.
The Fluke 1550's warning voltage alerts notify the user that voltage is present and gives the voltage reading up to 600V AC or DC.
With its large, fast-responding analogue/digital display, the Fluke 1550 shows measurement changes graphically with easy-to-read analogue bar graphs as well as digital measurements.
The last-reading memory display is ideal for insulation resistance and low-ohms.
The Fluke 1550 is powered by a high-capacity, rechargeable 12V battery that provides enough energy for up to 2500 tests.
In addition, the meter is fully tested to comply with EN61010-1, CAT III 600V overvoltage category, EN61557 installation testing, and EN61326 EMI immunity.
The Fluke 1550 MegOhmMeter is available from a wide range of Fluke distributors and major electrical wholesalers, and comes complete with a soft, waterproof case for tester and accessories, heavy-duty test leads, 5000V-rated probes, alligator clips, interface adaptor and cable, Quicklink 1550 PC Software, user's manual, line cord, DC (car) charging adapter, and a 12V rechargeable battery.
Quicklink 1550 software requires a computer running Windows 95, 98, Me, NT 4.0 or 2000.
It comes with a standard two-year warranty.
The suggested price is GBP 1595. Request a free brochure from Fluke (UK) ...
