Starting with a typical office installation with a multiplicity of PCs and printers, the video demonstrates how a Fluke 43B power quality analyser is used to identify the source of power glitches causing a PC to reboot unexpectedly.
Other troubleshooting performed by the 43B include the effects of single-phase harmonics at service panels; transformer overheating due to nonlinear loads in office machinery and adjustable speed drives; transient harmonic distortions caused by induction motors; and harmonic problems and reduced displacement power factors caused by three-phase loads.
