Fluke (UK) has introduced a test drive programme for the innovative 190 series high speed potable 'scope.
The 87 V/E includes an 87 V DMM, a SureGrip silicone test lead set, a SureGrip slim reach test probe set, a SureGrip alligator clip set, a Velcro strip with hanging magnet, and a convenient C800 hard carrying case.
The new meters feature larger display digits and bright white backlights to enable measurements even in very low light environments.
They now measure resistance up to 50Mohm, capacitance to 9999uF and frequencies above 200kHz.

More ranges, features and resolution for DMMs
Fluke has introduced the Models 187 and 189 digital multimeters.
The standard 87 V temperature probe measures from -40 to +260C, and other probes extend the range up to +1090C.
For "noisy" equipment, such as adjustable speed drives (ASDs), the Fluke 87 V features an innovative button that introduces a lowpass filter.
ASDs adjust the speed of AC motors using pulse width modulation.
This tends to generate a very noisy, or "chopped" signal.
Other DMMs may indicate a voltage higher than the actual supplied voltage, and frequency measurements may be erratic.
Troubleshooting confusion is removed by using the 87 V to block unwanted high frequencies to provide accurate and stable measurements of AC voltage and frequency (to calculate motor rpm), and by using an optional current clamp, such as the Fluke 80i400, to measure AC current.
The 87 V thermocouple probe can be used to easily check whether overheating is involved in a system breakdown.
A new holster allows storage of test leads when not in use.
The higher capacitance range allows improved measurements on many components, including motor capacitors.
The optional magnetic hanger (which is part of the 87 V/E industrial electrician combo kit) enables technicians to temporarily fix the tool onto steel panels where it is easily accessible, so that both hands are free for probing.
To enable an easy upgrade path, the new Series V DMMs were designed to operate as much as possible like earlier models.
As with all Fluke test tools, safety is a very important strength.
The 80 V Series are rated for use in 600V Cat IV and 1000V Cat III environments, and are engineered to withstand voltage spikes of 8kV and to help protect users against the hazards of arc flash.
