Handheld scopes aid UPS troubleshooting

The latest Fluke ScopeMeter 190 Series of industrial handheld oscilloscopes provide the ideal solution for installing and maintaining UPS systems.

The latest Fluke ScopeMeter 190 Series of industrial handheld oscilloscopes provide the ideal solution for installing and maintaining UPS systems A downloadable application note from the Fluke website explains how to use a ScopeMeter to easily record the entire switching event and investigate it in detail afterwards, avoiding difficult triggering methods

The Fluke ScopeMeter 190 Series of monochrome and colour oscilloscopes are truly integrated test tools, combining the three most frequently used service tools - a two channel oscilloscope with bandwidths from 60 to 200 MHz, a true-RMS multimeter, and automatic capture and replay of as many as 3000 waveform samples per channel, all in one affordable, easy to use instrument.

The high-resolution waveforms can be transferred to a PC running optional FlukeView ScopeMeter software for documenting, archiving and analysis.

With safety certification to 1000V CAT II and 600V CAT III, Fluke ScopeMeters help users to safely solve virtually all electronics measurement problems encountered in the field.

The precision of the load switching operation is crucial to the quality of a UPS system.

For this reason, an oscilloscope display of the voltage behaviour during the switching operation is indispensable during installation and maintenance of these systems.

The application note "Measurements on UPS systems with a Fluke ScopeMeter 190 Series" can be freely downloaded from Fluke's website via the Scopemeter 190 Series product pages. Request a free brochure from Fluke (UK) ...
