Appliance testers offer automatic or
manual use

Two new rugged all-in-one portable appliance testers verify the electrical safety and operation of electrical appliances in accordance with relevant guidelines and regulations.

Fluke has introduced two rugged all-in-one portable appliance testers (PATs) for verifying the electrical safety and operation of electrical appliances in accordance with relevant guidelines and regulations Designed with ease of use as the primary consideration, they allow more flexible testing than competing products and include the very latest developments in PAT technology

The new Fluke testers are: the fully automatic model 6500 with QWERTY keyboard and additional CompactFlash memory; and the manual model 6200 with dedicated "one-touch" testing for each test sequence.

Designed for very high throughput, the Fluke 6500 portable appliance tester is a fully automatic PAT with preset and user-programmable test sequences and professional test modes.

It features an integral QWERTY keyboard for rapid data entry plus a large backlit graphics display for showing informative help screens and detailed data formats.

A CompactFlash memory facility can be used for backing up the internal memory and speeding up the transfer of measurement data to a PC.

Optional PowerPAT Plus management software can be used to store all the records from a number of sites, and produce separate reports for each site.

An optional Fluke SPSCAN 15 barcode scanner is available to operate with the unit.

The Fluke 6200 PAT greatly simplifies manual testing by incorporating a dedicated key for each test sequence, and provides a cost-effective solution for lower volume requirements.

Preset pass/fail levels help save time when carrying out the tests.

This model has an internal memory and a large backlit alphanumeric display for easy reading.

Both models offer 25A and 200mA earth bond tests, insulation test, touch current test, substitute current test, load/leakage test, PELV test, IEC lead test and extension lead testing.

Both the 6500 and 6200 models feature a built-in carrying handle and conform to safety standard EN61010.

Unlike most conventional PATs, the new Fluke models are more compact and convenient in the field and weigh only around 3kg.

They are supplied with a separate protective hard carrying case which has extra storage space for accessories.

Included in the case are test leads, a test probe, a crocodile clip and user manual.

Optional accessories include a mini printer for direct output of stored data, an extensive range of pass/fail labels, snap tags, communication cables and extension lead adapters.

Both Fluke testers and all the accessories are available from Fluke authorised distributors. Request a free brochure from Fluke (UK) ...
