Kits save on portable appliance testing

New portable appliance tester kits offer a cost saving while including all the accessories required to carry out professional PAT testing services.

Fluke is offering portable appliance tester kits that offer a cost saving while including all the accessories required to carry out professional PAT testing services Fluke offers two, rugged, easy-to-use, all-in-one PAT testers which conform to safety standard EN61010 and verify the electrical safety and operation of electrical appliances in accordance with relevant guidelines and regulations

The Fluke 6500 portable appliance tester kit includes the fully automatic Fluke 6500 PAT tester with preset and user-programmable test sequences and professional test modes.

The 6500 features an integral QWERTY keyboard for rapid data entry plus a large backlit graphics display for showing informative Help screens and detailed data formats.

A CompactFlash memory facility enables backing up of the internal memory and speedy transfer of measurement data to a PC.

The kit includes PowerPAT Plus management software, which can be used to store all the records from a number of sites and produce separate reports for each site, barcode appliance number labels, a Fluke SPScan 15 barcode scanner, appliance pass and fail labels, and an extension lead test adapter.

The Fluke 6200 PAT kit provides a cost-effective solution for lower volume requirements.

The Fluke 6200 PAT tester greatly simplifies manual testing by incorporating a dedicated key to provide "one-touch" testing for each test sequence, and preset pass/fail levels help save time when carrying out the tests.

This model also has an internal memory and a large backlit alphanumeric display for easy reading.

The kit includes an extension lead test adapter, appliance pass and fail labels, and a logbook to manually record results.

Both models offer 25A and 200mA earth bond tests, insulation test, touch current test, substitute current test, load/leakage test, PELV test, IEC lead test and extension lead testing.

Both the 6500 and 6200 feature a built-in carrying handle and weigh only around 3kg.

The portable appliance tester kits are supplied in a separate protective hard carrying case with test leads, test probe, crocodile clip and user manual.
