Application notes explain digital multimeters
Fluke has published a series of application notes to help electricians and electronics professionals perform advanced electrical tests with their Fluke digital multimeters (DMMs).
Advanced DMMs, such as the Fluke 289 industrial trending digital multimeter, incorporate a multitude of test and measurement capabilities.
Fluke Application Notes, available through the Fluke website, are written and illustrated to explain how these capabilities are used, so customers can solve problems and get the most from their Fluke test tools.
For instance, the Fluke 289 DMM can record events that take place in a test circuit over time.
This enables the user to review results on the meter's large display, spot anomalies and identify trends.
The collected data can also be downloaded to a PC, where Flukeview Forms software makes it easy to create custom graphs and reports.
How the process was conducted in a real-world test is detailed in 'Trend Recording and Analysis with the Fluke 289 DMM,' an application note now available from Fluke.
