Franks and Zanotti aim for market share
Finisar has signed up two new sales managers for Northern and Southern Europe in a move to expand its existing sales team in the region.

Based in the UK, Erol Franks will be responsible for business development in the UK and Ireland, Scandinavia, Benelux and parts of Germany.
Franks joins Finisar from the Optical Communications Division of Corning, where he had a consultative role promoting complex technical solutions to global system houses and component suppliers.
Prior to that, Franks gained valuable sales and marketing experience at Air Products, an international supplier of industrial gas services and equipment.
He holds a BSc honours degree in electronic engineering from the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology.
Federico Zanotti has been appointed the new Sales Manager for Southern Europe and will be responsible for business development in Italy, France, Spain and Israel plus a number of German accounts.
In his previous position at Corning's Photonics Division in Milan, Zanotti was responsible for sales of optical components in Southern Europe and worldwide account management.
He has an MBA from Profingest Management School, Bologna, and an honours degree in electronics and telecommunication engineering from the University of Bologna.
Both new sales managers will be reporting to Jan Meise, Director of International Sales, who commented: "We welcome Mr Franks and Mr Zanotti as significant, high calibre additions to our international sales team.
Their combined skills and experience will help drive new business opportunities as well as expand existing relationships in the growing European market".
