A new crystal oscillator is designed to combine small size and low power consumption, making it ideally suited for use in mobile communications applications.

Focus EDL has a new crystal oscillator designed to combine small size and low power consumption As a result, the VT-3225 from Nippon Crystal is ideally suited for use in mobile communications applications

It meets all the requirements of the forthcoming RoHS regulations.

The new device, which can be soldered using lead-free processes, offers excellent coplanarity and features a wide frequency range of from 12.6 to 38MHz.

Frequency stability is +/-5.0ppm over the operating temperature range of -30 to +70C.

Supply voltage is 3V +/-0.15V.

Storage temperature range is -40 to +85C and maximum aging is 1ppm/year.

The VT-3225 is housed in a package measuring just 3.2 x 2.5mm with a maximum height off the board of just 1.2mm.
