According to Focus EDL, all products meet EIC's strict criteria for high quality and reliability, and are RoHS compliant as standard.
With one of the industry's widest selections of diodes, Focus EDL is now able to give engineers the choice of a second source to the products from many other manufacturers.
Products are fully available now and lead time is 3 weeks.
In addition to the industry standard BZX ranges of low to medium power Zener diodes, Focus EDL also has available the higher power families, such as the 3W BZG family that is no longer available from some other companies.
"Despite the evolution of regulator ICs for power supply outputs, EIC has recognised the continuing need for high power Zeners", says Focus EDL's Managing Director Geoff Philpot.
"The company is focused on designing and producing a full range of 2, 3 and 5W types used in a variety of applications".
"These higher power discrete Zeners provide optimum versatility with significant levels of DC and transient power capability compared with those designed into application specific integrated circuits", Philpot adds.
EIC also produces a variety of packages from standard axial DO-35 and DO41, to small SMA, SMB and SOD-323, together with the cost effective MELF and MiniMELF solutions.
The space saving offered by surface mount solutions allow for increased complexity on existing boards, plus faster and more efficient assembly lines.
