Force Computers has upgraded the performance of its Flexor System 1 and System 2 embedded servers.
The FES-4202 uses the 12 x 13in extended-ATX board format to offer a state-of-the-art solution designed for cost-effective 3 and 4U system requirements.
Also offering up to 8Gbyte of double-datarate SDRAM and seven PCI slots, it provides robust memory and I/O bandwidth for network storage, medical imaging, high-end firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), streaming media servers and high end embedded print engines.
The FES-4202 server platform offers OEMs the earliest possible access to state-of-the-art embedded technologies many before they have become widely adopted resulting in improved time-to-market.

Other features of the FES-4202 include: seven onboard PCI slots (64bit, 33/66MHz); onboard dual IDE ATA-100 interfaces (for data storage); a board management controller (for system monitoring); and server management support.
