Stability boost for oscillator family
Fox Electronics has expanded its popular F4100 Series of miniature surface mount crystal oscillators to include two new oscillators with tighter stabilities for all operating conditions.
Fox Electronics has expanded its popular F4100 Series of miniature surface mount crystal oscillators to include two new oscillators with tighter stabilities for all operating conditions.
The F4107 offers a stability of +15ppm and the F4109 offers a stability of +10ppm.
The new oscillators maintain these stabilities inclusive of operating temperature range, input voltage change, load change, aging, shock and vibration.
The new oscillators provide a cost-effective alternative to the more expensive and larger HCMOS TCXOs that are typically used in applications requiring stabilities tighter than +20ppm.
Specific applications include wireless communications and networking where better stability and noise characteristics are needed.
The two new 3.3V HCMOS oscillators have a standard operating temperature range of -10 to +70C, with an optional -40 to +85C range available for the F4107.
Output symmetry for the oscillators is 45 to 55% at 1.65V over the frequency range of 1.8 to 50.0MHz; maximum input current is 22mA.
As with all oscillators in the F4100 Series, the F4107 and F4109 are available in bulk quantities or on a 2000-unit tape and reel for automatic assembly systems.
Pricing for a new F4109 crystal oscillator with a stability of +10ppm starts at $4.98 per unit in quantities of 2000.
Delivery is 8 to 10 weeks ARO.
