Crystals cut oscillator resistance
A new HCMOS crystal oscillator eliminates the need to design an oscillator circuit using high-ESR watch crystals for critical timing applications such as real time clocks and ICs.
Fox Electronics has introduced a new HCMOS crystal oscillator that eliminates the difficulty of and need to design an oscillator circuit using high-ESR watch crystals for critical timing applications such as real time clocks and ICs By replacing the high-ESR crystal with the Fox465 SMD oscillator, the startup reliability of the timing circuit is improved

Oscillators run faster and are more stable
Fox Electronics has extended the frequency range and stability options of its popular F4100 Series crystal oscillators to 170MHz with stabilities as tight as +50ppm (F4105) for all conditions.
The new Fox oscillators operate at a frequency of 32.768kHz.
Key features of the new Fox465 oscillators include a low 5uA maximum input current, making them ideal for standby timing of ICs, and their ability to operate at any voltage from 1.5 to 6V.
The compact devices measure just 4.0 x 6.5 x 2.0mm.
The Fox465 family has an operating temperature range of -40 to +85C.
Frequency stability is +30/-150ppm and frequency tolerance at 25 C is +30/0ppm.
Pricing for the Fox465 oscillator is $1.94 in quantities of 10,000.
Samples are available now.
