Oscillators run faster and are more stable
Fox Electronics has extended the frequency range and stability options of its popular F4100 Series crystal oscillators to 170MHz with stabilities as tight as +50ppm (F4105) for all conditions.
Fox's all-quartz packaging technology provides a cost reduction of up to 20% or more over conventional ceramic packaging, as well as eliminates the recurring problems of ceramic shortages.
The new crystals yield costs savings of 15% in quantities of 10,000 to 20,000 and savings of 20% in quantities of 50,000 and above.
In addition, compared with ceramic packaging, the FQ series offers a lighter weight and a lower profile.
The FQ5032 is available in frequencies from 12 to 50MHz, with a +/-30ppm tolerance at 25C.
Standard stability is +/-30ppm at temperatures from 0 to 70C, with tighter stabilities available on special order.
Extended temperature versions for use from -40 to +85C are also available.
The new FQ5032 is fully RoHS compliant, offers complete pad compatibility with existing ceramic packages, and is available in two- or four-pad configurations.
Pricing for a 5.0 x 3.2mm FQ5032 crystal with a frequency of 20MHz is $0.25 each in quantities of 50,000.
Delivery is six to eight weeks ARO.
