Surface mount oscillator is small and
frugal
A new 3.3V HCMOS ceramic surface mount oscillator combines a small form factor with low power consumption.
Fox Electronics has introduced a new 3.3V HCMOS ceramic surface mount oscillator that features a small form factor and low power consumption The F230 is designed for use in portable and space-constrained devices including laptop computers, PDAs, cellphones, DVD players, MP3 players, video and digital cameras, as well as PCMCIA cards, Bluetooth, small rack-mount and portable test equipment

Oscillators run faster and are more stable
Fox Electronics has extended the frequency range and stability options of its popular F4100 Series crystal oscillators to 170MHz with stabilities as tight as +50ppm (F4105) for all conditions.
The compact F230 measures only 2.5 x 2.0mm, with a low profile of just 0.8 m.
Its power consumption is one of the lowest in the industry.
At 12MHz, the F230 requires only 7mA of input current during full operation and only 5uA of power during standby operation.
The new oscillator offers a frequency range of 0.84 to 75MHz; a frequency stability of +/-100ppm; an operating temperature range of -20 to +70C; and long-term aging of +/-5ppm per year.
Other tolerances, stabilities and operating temperature ranges are also available.
The F230 surface mount oscillator is fully RoHS compliant.
Pricing for an F230-27MHz crystal oscillator is $1.74 in quantities of 1000.
Delivery is eight to ten weeks ARO.
