Oscillators run from 2.5V supplies
Low-voltage devices operate at the same voltage as the ICs to which they are providing timing, reducing both current and heat generation.
Fox Electronics now offers its HCMOS XpressO oscillators for 2.5V operation Featuring a third-order delta-sigma modulator (DSM) that offers significantly reduced noise levels, the new oscillators are comparable to traditional bulk quartz and surface acoustic wave oscillators at a lower cost

Oscillators run faster and are more stable
Fox Electronics has extended the frequency range and stability options of its popular F4100 Series crystal oscillators to 170MHz with stabilities as tight as +50ppm (F4105) for all conditions.
Ultra-low profile for RTC crystal
Fox Electronics has a miniature watch crystal that measures just 7.0 x 1.5mm with an extremely low profile of 1.4mm.
The noise-reducing DSM technology, combined with the series' low noise architecture, enables the oscillators to offer significantly lower levels of jitter and phase noise, making them ideal for applications including Sonet, Ethernet, storage area network, broadband access, microprocessors/DSPs/FPGAs, industrial controllers, test and measurement equipment, Fibre Channel, wireless such as Bluetooth and WiMAX and portable products that require low power usage.
The new oscillators operate at the same voltage as the silicon chips to which they are providing timing, resulting in less current and heat generation.
In addition, the HCMOS versions highlight ASICs for accurate performance, reduced cost and increased flexibility.
The HCMOS XpressO oscillators feature a frequency range of 0.750 to 180.000MHz, stabilities as tight as +/-20ppm and a frequency resolution to six decimal places.
The oscillators offer operating temperatures of -20 to +70 or -40 to +85C.
The RoHS-compliant series has a gold over nickel termination finish and features industry-standard packaging of 5.0 x 3.2 and 7.0 x 5.0mm including footprint and pinout.
The new XpressO family also offers Fox's patented serial identification system with comprehensive traceability to ensure quality control by tracing any product back to its original manufacturing lot.
Designed to benefit engineers and purchasing personnel alike, these high-quality, low-cost oscillators offer short lead times and are guaranteed to be shipped within 24 hours for samples and within 10 days maximum for production quantities.
Pricing for XpressO HCMOS versions will vary depending on the output, frequency and stability needed.
A 2.5V, +/-50ppm, HCMOS, 27MHz oscillator costs US $0.46 each in quantities of 50,000.
