New from Foremost Electronics is a range of short-travel haptic switches with an option of an integral LED, making them ideally suited to switched control applications, such as in automotive steering wheels The Marquardt 3006 Series incorporate a snap-action disc within an extremely compact, flat enclosure of 9.85mm square and a profile of only 3.95mm

Although switching travel is a mere 1.1mm, they provide clear tactile feedback, with a switching lifetime better than 0.5 million actions.

Salient operational characteristics include a switching capability of up to 28V at 50mA, and a contact resistance of less than 100mW.

Incorporating surface mount terminals, they are capable of enduring reflow soldering temperatures at 260C for 20s, and are dust-protected to IP50.

Combining their high performance with compact size, attractive appearance and long-term reliability, these haptic switches offer a highly aesthetic solution to a broad range of switching applications demanding extreme touch sensitivity.
