Forge Europa has a comprehensive new series of precision high performance LED lamps The new range has been specifically designed to meet the demands of the expanding outdoor display market with a number of different size and wavelength options

Package styles currently available are 3 and 5mm round, with viewing angles from 15 to 35 degrees, and a number of elliptical devices.

The small elliptical LEDs have very impressive performance characteristics with viewing angles of 100/50 degrees.

The company has also recently introduced an extensive range of square LEDs in domed and flat lens options, with 115-degree viewing angles in two dimensions, making these devices ideally suited to switch top and fascia illumination.

Examples of wavelength and performance options available include: 470nm blue offering 4cd+ with 15 degrees viewing angle; 505nm "traffic light" green with performance in excess of 7cd; 590nm yellow and 626nm red devices to complete the spectral range; and the OptiLED range of white round, elliptical, rectangular and square shaped devices with typical performance of better than 6cd in a 10-degree, 5mm package.

All quoted optical data are fully verified using the company's in-house spectral analyser, which is also available for evaluation of currently used product, allowing a genuine alternative device to be offered.
