LED backlighting consumes less current
Forge Europa claims to have perfected a cost-conscious technique to provide LED backlighting for a wide range of industrial and commercial applications.
The RGB QuadriLED incorporates three independently addressable LED die in one package - 624nm red, 518nm green and 468nm blue - so that a full range of colours including warm white can be obtained.
Die intensities have been optically matched to provide the best possible performance with a rich gamut of colour combinations being offered from the one device.
Heat dissipation issues have been considered by use of a robust copper leadframe having excellent thermal conductivity properties.
All quoted optical data are fully verified using the company's in-house spectral analyser, and all new products are subjected to a rigorous in-house test regime prior to release.
