LED backlighting consumes less current
Forge Europa claims to have perfected a cost-conscious technique to provide LED backlighting for a wide range of industrial and commercial applications.
SPLEDs just push into a predrilled hole with a friction fit, and IDC connection makes interconnection easy.
Cree Xlamps which are up to 50% brighter than other commercially available solutions and deliver up to 40-60 lumens in blue, are now available in the 350mA 7090 series (7 x 9mm) and the 125mA 4550 series (4.5 x 5mm).
Further highlights of the extended blue range include: dot matrix displays from 17 to 121mm character height; seven segment displays from 7 to 200mm display height; blue multidigits in dual, triple and quad SSDs; and optically matched blue LED lamps in 3mm, 5mm and elliptical packages.
Forge Europa blue displays provide an exciting and eye-catching alternative to standard LED colours and are ideally suited to a host of applications including audio, instrumentation and corporate identity, with reliability comparable with more traditional semiconductor wavelengths.
