System stops static damage to RFID chips
A novel static elimination system is specifically designed to protect manufacturing operations for RFID tags and labels.
Fraser has developed new static eliminators for the rapidly growing RFID tags and label market Static electricity is particularly important in manufacturing RFID tags as they can be damaged by very low static levels - 500V is typical for the more sensitive devices

Foils developed for large frameless stencils
DEK has extended its VectorGuard to 29" by 29" - a convenient new frameless foil system that is said to be set to revolutionize large format applications.
On a normal label printing or converting process static levels over 10kV are common.
This may cause shocks to operators and attract dust, but in many cases it can be tolerated.
When making RFID tags such a level of static would damage the electronic circuitry in the components and cause a high level of failures.
Most of the failures would only be recognisable when the tags are in the field, causing major customer concern.
Most static eliminators cannot offer a balanced ionisation output which can guarantee that the static charge level is below 500V.
Fraser has developed the 1250-50 static eliminator bar and power unit which has an ionised output balance of less than 50V especially for this market.
Up to four bars can be connected to each power unit, making it ideal for the multiple-bar installations required on many RFID converting lines.
