Promotions at Forte Design Systems see Sean Dart named President and CEO, and Brett Cline moved up to Vice President of Sales and Marketing.

Forte Design Systems has named Sean Dart to serve as President and CEO The company has also promoted Brett Cline to Vice President of Sales and Marketing

Dart previously served as Forte's Vice President of Engineering, where he drove the research and development of the industry leading Cynthesizer behavioural synthesis product.

Prior to joining Forte, Dart was the CTO of Speed Electronics, a company specialising in front-end design tools for logic synthesis flows.

Dart succeeds David Sear who left to pursue other interests.

Cline previously served as Forte's Vice President of Marketing, where he drove the product direction and customer introduction of Forte's Cynthesizer.

Prior to Forte Cline held management and technical positions at Summit Design, Simulation Technologies and Cadence Design Systems.

"Our recent $5.4 million financing puts Forte in a strong financial situation to build on our leadership position in ESL synthesis", said Dart.

"As a strong believer in the value of high-level synthesis and a long-term member of the Forte team, I am very happy to lead the company that is transforming the electronic design landscape".
