Power standard aids test and calibration
Fluke describes its new 6100A electrical power standard as the first truly universal power standard.
Fluke describes its new 6100A electrical power standard as the first truly universal power standard It represents an improvement to current calibration methods that lack appropriate accuracy or rely solely on pure sinusoidal signals, which do not reflect the properties of electrical power in the marketplace

Multimeter designed specifically for metrologists
The new Fluke 8508A reference multimeter is an 8.5-digit resolution instrument with superior accuracy over a wide range of measurements.
Calibrator covers all RF demands up to 4GHz
The Fluke 9640A RF Reference Source is billed as the first RF calibrator to combine level precision, dynamic range and frequency capability in a single instrument.
Deregulation within the electrical power industry is leading to a sharp increase in the buying and selling of power and in the number of suppliers feeding into the world's transmission and distribution systems.
With the growth in suppliers come undesirable phenomena, such as harmonic distortion; noise and transients; and sags and swells.
This in turn has increased the requirements for power measurement that not only determine the amount of phenomena, but also confirm that conventional power measurements are accurate and reliable.
These new measurement needs impact manufacturers of power quality measurement equipment as well as certification bodies, who provide primary measurement support and/or traceability, utilities and large power users, and design engineers.
The Fluke 6100A is a multiphase highly accurate and reliable source of phantom electrical power signals and power disturbances.
It represents the first integrated system on the market that provides users with complete confidence in guaranteeing the accuracy of the power measurement tools they design, manufacture, verify and calibrate or use to make measurements.
Consisting of a master unit, which provides the first phase, and auxiliary units that provide up to three additional phases controlled through the master unit, the Fluke 6100A mimics harmonic distortions, user-definable sags, swells and flicker.
Also, it is configurable to the differing power voltages and frequencies that have been adopted globally, enabling the user to select relevant values for the measurements being made.
The Windows user interface provides familiar commands and settings, reducing the training required for user fluency.
Scalable and simple, yet highly accurate, the Fluke 6100A is the ideal standard for power meters, power factor meters, power quality analysers, power recorders and power meters with quality measurement capabilities. Request a free brochure from Fluke Precision Measurement ...
