Future offers a complete Ethernet solution
A complete design solutions package that features all the hardware, firmware, software and tools necessary for developing an embedded network product has been introduced by Future Electronics.
As a result, Future's enhanced linecard now provides one of the broadest product offerings in wire to board connectivity available today.
Among the key product lines which this partnership will focus on are the Minimate range of S2L/B2L 3.5 PCB connectors, which feature the highest achievable density for single wire connection currently available in the market, and Weidmuller's SL-SMT 3.5 series.
This range of surface-mount compatible headers is fully integratable into the SMT production process.
Their unique mechanical stability was achieved by through-hole reflow (THR) technology.
Made out of high temperature resistant material, SL-SMT products are available in 3.5mm as well as 5.08mm pitch, in tray or tape-on-reel packaging for pick and place machines.
"Weidmuller product is acknowledged as the de facto standard in industrial connectors and so represents an excellent fit with the needs of our customer base", observes Fred Knowles, technical director for Future Electronics, Europe.
"The prestigious Weidmuller line will significantly help to sustain and feed our substantial design activity in industrial applications.
In turn, we will focus on finding new applications for Weidmuller product within our diverse customer base".
Burkhard Schreiber, Global Manager - Channel Development for Weidmuller, adds: "The appointment of Future Electronics on a pan-European basis extends our selected distribution network in Europe to achieve a higher market penetration.
In particular, it will enable us to focus on new markets served by Future".
