The CP213 is a single-width 6U CompactPCI/PXI ADC module with up to 128 channels of analogue input and 16bit resolution.

New from KineticSystems, the CP213 is a single-width 6U CompactPCI/PXI ADC module with up to 128 channels of analogue input and 16bit resolution The CP213 features 32 or 64 differential analogue input channels that can alternately be configured under software control as 64 or 128 single-ended analogue input channels

This new device joins KineticSystems' growing family of data acquisition and automated test equipment (ATE) products for the CompactPCI/PXI, VXI, and stand-alone DAQ platforms.

The CP213's 16bit ADC scans each channel at a scan rate chosen by the user.

The number of channels scanned and scan rate are software selectable.

Scans may be triggered from either the internal clock, one of eight PXI backplane triggers, the PXI star trigger bus or an external SMB connector on the module front panel.

Single and continuous scan operations are supported.

A key feature of the CP213 is its onboard signal conditioning, providing programmable gain that may be set on a channel-by-channel basis.

Gains of 1, 2, 5, 10, 20, 50, 100, 200, 500 and 1000 are available.

Optional fixed two-pole passive filters are also available from 10Hz to 1kHz.

The CP213 also features onboard calibration on each channel for end-to-end calibration.

Under software control, channels 1 and 33 can be configured as isothermal reference channels, ideal for temperature measurement applications.

In addition to the analogue input channels, the CP213 provides 16 multi-function digital I/O (TTL) channels.

Any of these channels can be configured as digital in, digital out, or selectively attached to two frequency in, two counter in, and/or two timer out channels.

"Our goal is to provide innovative solutions for the expanding CompactPCI/PXI market, and the CP213 is an excellent example", said Patrick Cassady, Executive Vice President of KineticSystems.

"The CP213 is a low-cost ADC with onboard signal conditioning - the only one on the market today that offers integrated signal conditioning".

"Other vendor solutions require external signal conditioning modules, ours is built-in to provide higher performance at a better price".

Similar to its VXI counterpart, the V213, the CP213 ships with plug and play drivers for configuring and using the device.

Application examples are provided to illustrate basic functionality of the CP213.

Typical applications include temperature measurements, powertrain/engine testing, automated test equipment and general-purpose data acquisition.

The CP213 is available immediately starting at a unit price of US $1275 with delivery in 4-6 weeks.
