Eur 165,000 space contract signed
The processor platform extensions will take into account the requirements of commercial receivers with applications ranging from consumer to aerospace.
A contract with the amount of Eur 165,000 has been signed by Gaisler Research and the Swedish National Space Board The aim of the development is to extend the existing processor platform built on the Gaisler Research LEON3 processor and the floating point unit (GRFPU), tailored for Galileo and GPS applications
The processor platform extensions will take into account the requirements of commercial receivers with applications ranging from consumer to aerospace.
Focus will be placed on increasing the processor performance, accelerate signal processing, reducing power consumption and adding new consumer product interfaces.
The resulting SoC system will be easy to integrate with existing and future GPS and Galileosat front ends and thus provide an ideal solution for companies developing and producing receivers.
