A licence agreement has been signed for the use of the Gaisler Research Floating Point Unit (GRFPU) in the AGGA-3 ASIC developed by EADS Astrium.

A licence agreement has been signed for the use of the Gaisler Research Floating Point Unit (GRFPU) in the AGGA-3 ASIC developed by EADS Astrium The AGGA-3 is a radiation-hardened, low power, next generation GPS and Galileosat baseband ASIC, optimised for space applications such as radio occultation, scatterometry and precise orbit determination

The GRFPU will be used to increase the calculating performance in the AGGA-3 ASIC.
