Processor gains RTOS support
Gaisler Research has announced the immediate availability of a complete port of the Wind River VxWorks 6.3 real-time operating system for the Leon processor.
Gaisler Research has announced the immediate availability of a complete port of the Wind River VxWorks 6.3 real-time operating system for the Leon processor.
The combination of VxWorks 6.3 and the Leon processor yields the most advanced hardware/software architecture for high reliability systems.
"We selected VxWorks 6.3 because of its proven heritage in critical systems as well as its integration with the powerful Wind River Workbench development tools", said Jiri Gaisler founder and CTO of Gaisler Research.
"Together with the fault tolerant Leon3, this represents a state-of- the art solution for high reliability systems".
The Leon3 processor with the GRLIB IP-library is ideally suited for SoC designs and implements plug and play capabilities, minimising the engineering effort during the design phase.
