The MathWorks has become the Platinum Sponsor of GSPx 2005, the pervasive signal processing event.

The MathWorks had been a Gold sponsor of GSPx since its inception, and this year has increased its support to the Platinum level.

The company will also contribute industry expertise to the conference and expo by leading a technical workshop, participating in panels and conference sessions, and exhibiting on the show floor.

GSPx will take place from 24th to 27th October 2005 at the Santa Clara Convention Center.

"GSPx is a unique forum and we are proud to be a platinum sponsor", said Ken Karnofsky, Director of Marketing, Signal Processing and Communications, The MathWorks.

"Signal processing is a pervasive, fast-moving technology, and GSPx provides an essential event where the technical community can find the latest ideas, innovations and products all in one place".

The MathWorks will chair the panel "FPGAs vs processors: what's the right choice for signal processing?", and Karnofsky will participate on a separate panel "What impact will the development of electronic system level (ESL) have on signal processing technologies?".

In addition, The MathWorks will present a half-day technical workshop, "Model-based design for video systems on embedded DSPs", and MathWorks engineers will present several papers on signal processing system design, implementation, and verification.
