Genalog can now supply low-cost surface-mounting Flash memory card sockets for a variety of formats used in applications requiring compact removable memory such as digital cameras, video cameras, PDAs, MP3 players, computer peripherals, automotive audio, GPS systems, printers and mobile phones This memory card socket range provides a high-quality miniaturised removable storage solution for these applications

Features include phosphor bronze contacts gold plated to 1-micron thickness, rated for over 10,000 mating cycles.

The glass reinforced plastic sockets will withstand temperatures up to 230C for 3s during reflow soldering.

Locating lugs facilitate placement and there is a selectable left or right-handed ejector mechanism to match the application requirements.
