Genalog can now supply a new low-cost custom cable assembly range, introduced by GTK, for use within brown and white goods - such as set-top boxes, television sets, stereos, vacuum cleaners and washing machines - and industrial control systems.

GTK's "In the Box" assemblies allow electrical goods manufacturers to streamline production and reduce costs since they need not run a connector assembly department or hold stock of assembly components.

GTK's "In the Box" assemblies range from simple flying-lead LEDs and AC mains sockets to fully customised wiring harnesses using all types of standard and custom connectors, including crimp-to-wire, 090, 110, 250, 350 and pin type.

Connector locking and mounting options are available.

Wires of any style, power capacity and temperature rating can be specified, as can special insulation against chemical, UV erosion and other environmental factors.

Inline electronic modules, fuses, filters and chokes, sourced by either Genalog or the customer, can be incorporated.

"Equipment manufacturers now have a low-cost, high reliability alternative to producing their own application specific cable assemblies", said John Morath, Sales Manager, GTK UK.

"Whatever 'in the box' interconnection is needed, we believe we have the most effective solution".
