One-piece interfaces cut board stacking costs
Genalog has introduced a range of one-piece interfaces that provide low-cost printed circuit board stacking by reducing the number of components required to be purchased and processed.
Genalog has introduced a range of one-piece interfaces that provide low-cost printed circuit board stacking by reducing the number of components required to be purchased and processed.
These one-piece components are ideal for high shock and vibration applications because of their robust design with threaded inserts to mount the connectors to the PCB.
Also they can offer quality improvements over elastomeric and pin-and-sockets systems due to their more reliable connections and the elimination of bent pins.
Components are offered on 1mm pitch to provide a range of board spacings of 3, 6 and 10mm between boards with up to 40 pins per row.
Where ultra low profile applications on a 1mm pitch are required, 0.635, 1.27 and 1.65mm board spacings are available with up to 30 contacts in a single row.
The range is completed with smart card and one-piece power interfaces on a 2.54mm pitch while, for traditional strip style interfaces on 2.54mm pitch, a 3.81mm profile connector with up to 30 contacts is available.
