Gel mounts damp out road shocks
When trying to protect onboard computers in trucks and buses from road and engine vibrations, a soft isolation mount is often required.
When trying to protect onboard computers in trucks and buses from road and engine vibrations, a soft isolation mount is often required Gel-Mec now has a range of ultrasoft gel sandwich or stud mounts which are much softer than traditional rubber isolators
These mounts are made of a very soft, highly damped silicone gel bonded to metal.
Ideal for sensitive equipment, the gel's unique softness is capable of isolating low frequency vibrations typical in transport environments.
Capable of isolating frequency vibrations of 10Hz and above, the softest mount has a durometer of just Shore A 10.
Thirteen standard mounts are available including male-female configurations for space saving applications.
The range covers loads from just 1.2 up to 100kg and suits a four-point fixing.
Durable in any weather the silicone material also provides stable performance over -40 to +200C temperatures.
