"This standard range will enable our network of specialist, broadline national and broadline worldwide distributors to provide a fast, efficient service for their local customers".
A key feature of the launch strategy is the creation of an order placing/order enquiry facility on the Gentech website which will differentiate between made to order and standard products, with orders or enquiries for the latter being routed automatically to the appropriate local distributor.
This facility goes live in April 2001.
Further support for distributors is being provided via a new web section giving them exclusive access to detailed technical data and other information not available to the general public.
In addition, a fully functional e-commerce facility for the distributor network is currently under development.
