Convertors feature tight load regulation
New DC/DC convertors suit a wide variety of board level power applications requiring 3W of regulated output power, input/output isolation, miniature package size and low component cost.
New from Salisbury-based Gresham Power is the D300RP series of DC/DC convertors.
Designed specifically for board level applications with very high component density, these convertors feature tight load regulation, continuous short circuit protection and 3W of output power in a miniature SIP package.
Fifteen models are available operating from 5, 12 or 24V DC inputs, offering single outputs of 5, 9, 12, 15 or 24V DC.
Standard features include tight line/load regulation, input/output isolation of 1kV DC, continuous short circuit protection, and efficiency up to 72%.
The MTBF (per MIL HDBK 217F) of the D300RP series is greater than 1.5Mh.
The D300RP family is packaged in a miniature, single-inline-package (SIP) case with an industry standard pinout.
Each model is specified for operation over the wide operating temperature range of -40 to +71C (ambient) with no derating or heatsinking required.
Cooling is by free-air convection.
Melanie O'Connor, General Sales Manager of Gresham Power, comments: "These new DC/DC convertors are robust and cost effective and the extended temperature range makes them ideal for high reliability COTS applications".
The D300RP series is an ideal solution for a wide variety of board level power applications requiring 3W of regulated output power, input/output isolation, miniature package size and low component cost.
Applications would include industrial process systems, board level data acquisition systems, robotic systems and POL board level power distribution subsystems.
