Cost effective transceiver boosts signal coverage for network distribution systems.

The PA-ZQB-2400-ETL from Eleading Technologies (HK) is designed to provide enhanced signal coverage for network distribution systems and will benefit system installers by eliminating the costs associated with wired networks, multiple routers or access points The cost effective transceiver solution comprises a DC injector unit and a low-noise-amplifier/power-amplifier module which will provide wide area coverage up to 100m in all directions

The input signal between 2.4 and 2.48GHz is obtained from the existing wired router or access point and is fed into the DC injector module which is then connected by a suitable Type N cable assembly to the power amplifier.

The PA output then feeds an antenna to give the coverage required.

Received signals are similarly directed via an antenna switch to the LNA and back to the AP/router.

The overall system has a receive gain of 16dB with a noise figure of 3dB and a +/-0.5dB flat response over the band.

The PA gain is 25dB with an output power level of +33dBm.

LNA gain is +16dB with a maximum NF of 3.0dB.

Switching time between the transmit and receive paths is 1us maximum.

Out of band rejection is better than 30dB at F0+/-500MHz.

The supply voltage is 12V/2A DC and both modules are equipped with LED indicators for power on and transmit and receive.

The LNA/PA unit is designed for outdoor use and is designed for operation from -20 to +70C.
