Duracell has developed a new range of increased capacity AA NiMH rechargeable batteries and a high-speed charger designed to better satisfy the rechargeable power needs of high-drain digital devices.

Duracell has developed a new range of increased capacity AA NiMH rechargeable batteries and a high-speed charger designed to better satisfy the rechargeable power needs of high-drain digital devices like digital cameras The introduction upgraded Duracell's existing 1800mAh AA rechargeable batteries to a more powerful 2050mAh capacity, adding approximately 14% more power on a single charge

Along with the more powerful rechargeable battery, Duracell is introducing a more convenient 30min charger that will simultaneously charge up to four AA or AAA batteries within a 30min timeframe.

This new charger enhances the existing line, which contains a 1h charger and a quick charger with a 2-3h charge time.

Both are configured to charge AA and AAA rechargeable batteries.

"With the growth of digital cameras and other high-drain devices on the market, there is a strong demand for longer-lasting rechargeable power sources and rapid chargers.

And, as a portable power leader, we continually look for ways to improve battery performance", said Kevin Janco, Specialty Business Director, Duracell.

"Since so many consumers are new to using rechargeable batteries, it is key for them to have rechargeable options from a brand they know and trust".

The new 2050mAh Duracell rechargeable AA batteries are available in two- and four-cell blister card packs through office suppliers and specialty retail outlets across Europe.

The 30min charger will be packaged with four AA 2050mAh capacity batteries and will be sold through the same types of retail outlets.
