GSPK Electronics reckons its relationship with the Stockport-based Maple Group is going from strength to strength The company started manufacturing and building printed circuits boards for Maple Fleet Technology in August last year and as a result developed trading links in Spring 2003 with another Maple Group company, Maple Innovations

Business with the Group is continuing to develop with full realisation expected to be GBP 150,000 over the next 12-18 months.

The Maple Group has been in existence for over 30 years and is the UK's leading authority on commercial vehicle security and fleet management systems.

Their extensive product range and policy for continual development guarantees a cutting edge solution for almost every fleet management problem.

Maple enthusiastically embraces new technologies and has taken a lead in the application of RFID technology.

Continuous product development has created keyless high-security locking devices capable of integration with GPS telematics systems, load integrity systems that provide audit trails and sophisticated access control solutions with universal applications.

The Maple product range extends to safety devices and vehicle management systems as well as bespoke tailor made solutions.

Seal IT, the latest product under development, is set to help Maple Fleet Technology gain entry into the supply chain and logistics market.

Seal IT is the result of a two year development programme and is due go into production at the end of the year.

The product is an electronic security seal which enables load integrity to be checked at a glance.

The RFID technology developed for Seal IT provides an electronic audit trail and can be used in access control systems for vehicles, depots and buildings.

Chris Shaw, General Manager at Maple Group comments: "We have been working closely with GSPK for the last 12 months.

Their introduction of dedicated manufacturing cells provides improved communication and flexibility, both of which are vital for our business.

This approach to customer service, along with reliable products makes GSPK a very attractive subcontract option." GSPK Electronics offers fully procured and free issue assemblies, design for manufacture and test from prototype to batch production.

The company provides value engineering to maximise customers' profits throughout the entire product life cycle.
