High-voltage supplies are easy on rack space

A new family of power supplies for 300W output power requirements comes in a 19in rack-mount configuration with a panel height of only 1U.

Glassman High Voltage has a new family of power supplies for 300W output power requirements in a 19in rack-mount configuration with a panel height of only 1.75in (1U).

The FX series has an output voltage range fully adjustable from 0-60kV via front-panel or remote programming control.

It is a well-regulated power source, with low ripple (0.02%RMS) and low stored energy, which makes it ideal for both OEM and research applications.

According to Jeremy Simon, Director of Sales and Marketing at Glassman, "The FX series offers a high performance DC power supply in a reduced package size that is a solution for customers that have limited space availability for electrical components and subsystems as part of their system offering.

We continue to develop technology that leverages our technology leadership in the high voltage market, with our end goal of providing products that directly meet the needs of our worldwide customer base".

As with previous products from Glassman, the new FX series features notable technology benefits, including Glassman's proprietary air-insulation technology - where air is used as the primary dielectric medium, in comparison to competitive models that use silicon rubber, epoxy or oil.

Air offers distinct advantages from both a long-term reliability standpoint and serviceability over the extended life of the product.

Proprietary arc sensing and quench circuitry will suppress arcing conditions that can occur regularly in high-voltage applications and provide maximum safety and protection for both the power supply and customer load.

The FX series is CE Mark certified and can be used with an RS232 digital interface option, which is now available for most of Glassman's standard models.

Glassman also offers a comprehensive three-year warranty and post-sales support from its staff of application engineers.
