Engineers and technicians must be trained
Leading UK engineering and technology firms, with a combined multi-million pound spend on training and development, will assemble at the IEE 'Investing in Technical Teams' forum on 4 November 2004.
"These events enable leading embedded systems suppliers and EDA tool providers to meet Taiwan's design communities under one roof".
Other companies who have committed to participating at ESC-Taiwan and EDA and T-Taiwan this year include Agilent Technologies, Altera, Ansoft, Avant, Cadence, Cirrus Logic, Magma, Renesas, Spansion, Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company, United Microelectronics Corporation and Zuken.
An enhanced conference programme aims to give Taiwan designers the unique opportunity to learn new technologies direct from some of the world's largest embedded and EDA technology vendors.
The keynote address will be given by Dr Fu-Chieh Hsu, Vice President of TSMC's Design and Technology Platform.
Dr Hsu will discuss how advances in circuit and process modelling technologies can improve the bottom line.
Leading technology providers will address challenges faced today by Taiwan's IC and system designers at the events' technical seminars.
ESC-Taiwan seminars will be hosted by embedded systems providers including Agilent Technologies, Atmel, CoWare, National Instruments, Renesas Technology, Spansion and TeraSoft.
