Twelve of the world's 15 largest semiconductor companies are set to showcase their latest technologies at mainland China's largest-ever IC exhibition - the 12th International IC-China Conference and Exhibition (IIC-China).

Global Sources' IIC-China and Embedded Systems Conference-China (ESC-China) will be colocated and run: on 5th and 6th March 2007 at the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Centre; on 8th and 9th March 2007 at the Beijing World Trade Centre; and on 13th and 14th March 2007 at the Shanghai Mart.

Exhibitors include Altera, Analog Devices, Atmel, Fairchild Semiconductor, Freescale Semiconductor, Intel, International Rectifier, Intersil, Micron Technology, NEC, NXP Semiconductors, Qimonda, Renesas Technology, Samsung, SigmaTel, Spansion, STMicroelectronics, Texas Instruments and Toshiba Semiconductor.

Mark A Saunderson, President of Global Sources' Electronics Business Unit, said: "This year's show presents even more design ideas and solutions".

"Combined, all three venues will showcase more than 900 booths - up 12% from 2006".

"The show continues to grow, particularly in Shenzhen, where we will host a record 486 booths - up 24% from last year".

"Plus, we expect a full-house in each city with a record 30,000 Chinese engineers attending the events".

IIC-China will launch a Components Pavilion in Shenzhen to exhibit quality components suitable for use in mainland China's export electronics products.

More than 90 manufacturers at over 130 booths will showcase components including active and passive components, interconnects and electromechanical components.

Senior executives from the world's top semiconductor companies are scheduled to deliver keynote addresses at each IIC-China venue.

IIC-China's 2007 Summit program focuses on the challenges and opportunities of going portable.

Panelists are senior managers from Altera, Ceva, Infineon, Micrel, NXP Semiconductors, SigmaTel, and Tensilica.

Engineers can also learn about specific technologies including embedded systems, automotive electronics and EDA tools at more than 100 IIC-China Vendor Seminars.

Companies hosting seminars include Altera, Altium, Analog Devices, Freescale Semiconductor, Intel, Micrel, NXP Semiconductors, Primarion, SigmaTel and Texas Instruments.

IIC-China is open to qualified visitors from 0930 to 1700 on each day.
