CEBIT 2002 provides the forum for the debut of Global Display Solutions (GDS), the result of the merger between Italian CA and G Industrie and Emco Electronics.

Newly formed GDS comes to life for the first time on booth C04 in Hall 21.

This merger forms the early part of GDS's plans to realise its ambition of becoming the world's leading industrial display solutions provider.

GDS, which has previously exhibited at CEBIT as CA and G, will use CEBIT 2002 to introduce its world-class range of industrial display solutions, which include the design and production of monitors for a wide range of applications.

The booth has been designed to offer CEBIT visitors an insight into the scope of electronics technology for monitors.

GDS is a world leader in sunlight-readable LCD technology and high-performance LCD and CRT monitors.

Being shown for the first time at CEBIT are the new range of industrial and desktop LCD monitors using the latest in interface design.

These monitors can accept inputs from analogue, DVI and Pal, have simulated surround sound and will display resolutions from sub-VGA to 1600 x 1280 with a clarity and picture stability not normally associated with autoscaling technology.

This is achieved due to development of what is widely regarded as the markets leading LCD interface, developed in close association with some of the worlds leading suppliers of video processing chipsets.

Being European-based, GDS is now able to offer customers worldwide the same high quality service.

The restructure of the organisation, following the merger between CA and G and Emco Electronics, allows GDS to demonstrate a global support system for customers, who can deal with territory offices in 27 countries locally.

GDS has been striving for a 'no fault' reduction in its product.

The products shown on booth C04 are the latest models to achieve below 0.5% defects.
