Ian Hudson has been appointed as the new Group Sales and Marketing Director for the recently formed GDS.

Hudson's role includes commercial direction and marketing strategy for GDS worldwide.

The company operates in 27 countries across five continents.

Ian will direct the Company's global activities with special responsibility for spearheading the effort to win and retain strategic accounts.

Hudson has been with the industrial displays company (previously Emco Electronics) for nearly 20 years and has built up a deep understanding of the market and a close rapport with key customers.

The position includes implementation of marketing strategy for GDS, management of sales and commercial activity, product pricing and lead time, new product development and responsibility for GDS sales personnel worldwide.

Kent-based Hudson claims: "I am delighted to have taken on this role.

I have enjoyed the last 20 years with GDS and look forward to driving the company's global expansion".

A keen musician, Hudson is a great Frank Zappa fan and likes to "Sheik Yerbouti".
