Next month's Electronica 2002 provides the perfect forum for Global Display Solutions to exhibit its world-class range of industrial displays on booth A6.575 To meet the broad range of customer requirements at Electronica 2002, GDS intends to exhibit monitors for ATM usage and the banking and financial industries, for industrial applications including process control monitors, for the marine market and for kiosks and information display in the travel industry

Additional products will be demonstrated for the medical and automotive industries.

The booth has been designed to offer Electronica visitors an insight into the scope of electronics technology for monitors.

GDS is a world leader in sunlight-readable LCD technology and high performance LCD and CRT monitors.

On booth A6.575 are GDS's range of Mitra displays, which use the latest electronic display technology.

The Mitra is the leading sunlight readable monitor, predominantly used in ATM machines and the marine market.

With a liquid crystal display (LCD) screen and a specially designed thermal management system, the monitor can be viewed in all weather conditions, including bright sunlight.

GDS is showing the Mitra in five screen sizes, ranging from 6.4 to 15.9in.

Also on booth A6.575 will be Industrial and desktop LCD monitors using the very latest in interface design.

These monitors can accept inputs from analogue, DVI and Pal, have simulated surround sound and will display resolutions from sub-VGA to 1600 x 1280 with a clarity and picture stability not normally associated with autoscaling technology.

This is achieved due to development of what is widely regarded as the markets leading LCD interface, developed in close association with some of the world's leading suppliers of video processing chipsets.

GDS is also exhibiting its latest passenger information displays (PIDs) for air and rail terminals.

The 29 and 32in natural flat screens are completely flat and give the same 'look' as gas plasma but, being CRT, are a fraction of the cost.

The new 30in LCD PID has better on-screen performance compared with gas plasma and has an MTBF of better than 45kh.

With a 16:9 aspect ratio and full screen brightness, the 30in LCD has a clear and easy to view picture.

All GDS products being shown at Electronica 2002 are the latest models to achieve below 0.5% defects.
