Headquarters opens without disruption

Global Display Solutions (GDS) has added wireless options to its products in direct response to the growing demand for large screen outdoor LCD signage.
The new UK headquarters building was purpose-built to accommodate GDS's needs within a new office and technology park.
The overall development has been styled to reflect the traditions of the region.
GDS's building, at 1700m2, includes the UK's commercial offices, engineering labs, warehousing, small batch manufacturing and rapid prototyping facilities.
The premises, which have been 2 years in the planning, integrate GDS's UK R and D resources alongside the local manufacturing, to improve response times to UK customers and enhance service levels.
Volume production will continue to be outside the UK, in Italy and the Far East.
These resources are supported by a global procurement team to ensure lowest global product costs.
Having amalgamated all its UK sites and departments into the one building, GDS intends further streamlining of its working methods as part of the company's strategy to expand its capabilities as the UK's leading supplier of industrial displays.
But this does not mean job losses as growth and completion of the new facility have brought a number of newly created positions into the HQ.
A new repair capability for all of GDS's products has been created on-site, to complete the overall service GDS UK will provide to its customers.
GDS selected an up and coming business park in Yorkshire's electronics hub to found this new HQ and this now makes GDS one of the leading local businesses located west of Bradford.
Meanwhile the establishment of a single identity across the world reflects the GDS vision, and capability, to provide the best globally available display solutions locally.
