UK arm completes global quality drive
The UK division of Global Display Solutions (GDS) has successfully met the requirements of the ISO9001:2000 quality management standard (QMS).
The UK division of Global Display Solutions (GDS) has successfully met the requirements of the ISO9001:2000 quality management standard (QMS).
As GDS UK was the final region to apply for this standard, GDS now has worldwide ISO accreditation.
Over a period of two days, a three-man team from the British Standards Institution (BSI) assessed GDS UK's quality management system, which covers the design, supply and service of LCD and CRT monitors, against the requirements of the ISO9001:2000 standard.
After the teams' findings had been reviewed by an independent BSI panel, GDS UK's QMS was recognised as meeting the standard's criteria.
The ISO9001:2000 accreditation is official authentication of GDS' quality management system, which has been operating throughout the organisation for several years.
GDS customers can be assured that the highest international standards are being met from initial monitor design through to the return and repair of broken monitors.
Marco Cohen, Sales and Marketing Manager of GDS UK says: "We are delighted that the BSI has officially recognised the high standard of our quality management system.
We hold the ISO standard in very high regard, as I am sure our customers do, and we intend to use the follow-up accreditation audits as an effective quality management tool in our ongoing efforts to meet customer needs and improve overall customer satisfaction".
