Huge monitor suits signage use
G-Bond technology reduces overall system reflection to less than 2%, enabling complete sunlight readability without the need for increased display brightness.
Global Display Solutions (GDS) has released the world's first 70-inch TFT display monitor for the out-of-home (OOH) digital signage market.
Using GDS' proprietary G-Bond optical bonding process, the display was built and showcased at the Viscom show at Dusseldorf in Germany by Distec, on whose behalf GDS developed this product.
With a 70, HD resolution TFT display panel and AR-coated laminated glass, this bonded product was manufactured at GDS' bonding facility in Italy and was exhibited at the exhibition prior to being shipped to America for field trials with a major advertising company.
G-Bond technology reduces overall system reflection to less than 2%, depending on the panel construction, enabling complete sunlight readability without the need for increased display brightness.
In addition to improving high ambient light readability, G-Bond provides increased impact protection to the display, improves retention in breakage situations for public protection, removes condensation and fogging and prevents foreign matter intrusion and ingestion that may compromise the picture quality.
