Glyn has added the new 'off the shelf' chip-on-glass LCD modules, from Seiko's Vitrium series, to its range of products.

Chip-on-glass (COG) modules are ideal for portable application like GPS, barcode scanning and measurement instrumentation, as they offer high density performance in the smallest possible package.

In addition, they eliminate the need for elastomers, heatseals, bezels and printed circuit boards.

Instead they are mounted directly on the glass using a proprietary metallised ITO process achieving greatly improved optical performance and reliability.
