Chip-on-glass LCD modules save more space
Glyn has added the new 'off the shelf' chip-on-glass LCD modules, from Seiko's Vitrium series, to its range of products.
Fully CE- Compliant, the EVB-LIME can also be used for full production purposes.
Featuring 8Mbyte of SDRAM graphics memory, the board is extremely versatile to the extent that it can drive TFT displays or connect to an MCU and operate with a 16bit multiplexed or nonmulitplexed native bus via I2C.
The onboard BGA package offers designers the opportunity to work with BGA packages without the need for any additional specialist equipment.
Video input is via a Micronas VPX device and offers up to four video inputs enabling up to four composite cameras to be connected.
The digital ITU656 input is also available directly via pin headers.
Another advantage of the EVB-LIME its ability to drive to two displays independently with a maximum resolution of 800x480 and single display up to 1280x768.
Measuring only 68 x 53mm which makes it ideal for integration into the smallest of applications, the EVB-LIME costs just GBP 190 in starter kit version and comes complete with hardware description and connection overview.
